#Player Placement

PLAYER EVALUATION

Each year, during late May and early June, soccer clubs hold their annual tryouts to assess players' skills for team placement. These tryouts require hundreds of hours to evaluate potentially thousands of players in a compressed timeframe. While most participants receive a call and are assigned to the appropriate teams, some unfortunately slip through the cracks, others may be unable to attend, and quite a few feel too nervous to showcase their true potential.

When assessing athletes, we evaluate not only their technical and tactical skills but also their physical and psychological traits. The brief tryout window does not allow for a comprehensive evaluation of players' capabilities. For this reason, players are observed year-round by their team Head Coach and Director of Coaching (DOC) during training sessions and games. This ongoing observation enables more accurate placements within the Colorado Rush system. Evaluations will consider the aforementioned aspects alongside attendance, attitude, team chemistry, and consistency, among others.
